Barkers Lodge is the friendly, relaxed place to stay in Methven. Guests, whether they be individuals, families or one of the many school groups or snowsports teams quickly feel at home.

All rooms are ensuite with a variety of bedding configurations to suit all requirements.

Rooms have a fridge, tea / coffee making equipment and TV.

All guests receive complimentary continental breakfast in our spacious dining room. The nightly buffet meal prepared by chef Matt can be a part of your accommodation package or purchased on a casual basis.

The large guest lounge features an open fireplace, pool table, Nintendo Wii, Sky TV and Methven’s best selection of New Zealand craft beers at our licensed bar.

Guests have free use of the internet either on our eMac computers in the foyer or relax in a comfy chair and use your laptop on our wireless network. We also have Skype cameras on two computers. Outside there is a spa pool (hot tub) in our internal courtyard.

For the serious skiers there are two workshops available for waxing and tuning skis.

Groups can make use of our “big room” for meetings or more physical activities such as yoga.
